Kim Delaney is an American actress best known for playing Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she garnered the Emmy Award. Kim Delaney has been renowned as the character Detective Diane Russell on the ABC series NYPD Blue. The actress also starred on the drama show All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also the mother of her children. Delaney has four older brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of being a reporter for the court. The first time she began modeling was in highschool and eventually gained commercial roles when she moved into New York. She starred in 1981 as a naive teen in the film All My Children. Delaney an actress in her early years from the 1980s has appeared in several films TV movies as well as dramas. She has not had a good or satisfying personal life. She is gifted and gorgeous, has struggled with addiction to alcohol before. The marriages she has had failed two times. She was divorced in 2005 and lost custody of the sole child that she had.
