Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial art artist fighting for in the UFC at the flyweight division,. She is at present participating. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fighting sports career in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer. She first made an appearance in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and was defeated by Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimity. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 and a medal of bronze in 2008, and she won a gold medal in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champ in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003. Antonina won the WKC K-1 World Light Welterweight Championships in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via unanimous decision. She left the Phoenix FC 4 promotion in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch through knees that hit the body. After this win, Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina was offered the UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko won the fight with a unanimous decision. She lost her second fight with Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night for the fight. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn Cookagian, but she beat Ariane Lipski's three bouts. Antonina was lastly defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
